Upcoming events

August 15
Family picnic at Amager Strandpark along Øresundsvej from 11 am to app. 6 pm. Bring your own food and drinks. We arrange a program for the children and adults. Everyone is welcome, come and join us.

August 29
The International Day in Copenhagen at Peblinge Dossering from 11 am to 6 pm. PUGAD has a food booth and some performing Filipino dancing and singing. The aim is to show the cultural diversity in Copenhagen and by this cultural exchange strengthens the integration among all people in the capitol regardless of background, ethnicity and religion. Come and have a nice day, taste some ethnic food and enjoy the many good performances.

September 11
We have a press conference at Café Mandela at Halmtorvet from 2 pm. where the media can meet our guests from the South.

September 12
PUGAD is hosting, together with our partners from the Fishing Network a conference at Borups Højskole at Frederiksholms Kanal from 10 am to 5 pm where we have 5 excellent speakers from South – see the entire programme at the web site.

In connection with the conference, we have a two days seminar where we produce a white book with recommendations to the Danish government, the EU, the UN about securing sustainable and environmentally sound small scale fishing.

A new report from CONCARD Aid Watch

A new report from CONCARD Aid Watch shows that Denmark won’t reach the goals within the UN 2015 Millennium Goals and it is a shame and bad news for the poor people in this world.The reason is that some of the development money goes to other areas than pure development like eliminating debts, refugees and more than 1, 2 billion go to climate adaptation. read more…
